This pair of products focuses on the interplay of brass, marble and glass. The pair consists of a fruit bowl and a vase. The concept is based on making the brass element, a funnel shape with a lug, from just one continuous piece of sheet metal. The stability is guaranteed by the flat marble cylinder.

 

The idea was to create a minimalist and at the same time elegant design language from basic geometric shapes such as cones, triangles and cylinders.

 

The two design prototypes were implemented in cooperation with Kunstbetrieb in Basel and were made possible with the kind support of the Ikea Foundation Switzerland .
